06.12.2007 Strong conclusions on the future of organic food and farming in Europe from participants at the European Organic Congress
The congress assembled around 300 participants from the European organic sector and a high number of representatives from the EU institutions.
The strong representation of EU officials demonstrated that the organic area is being taken seriously by the EU institutions and is considered an important subject for further development.
 

 

 

20.11.2007 The registration for the European Organic Congress is closed!

The congress is fully booked and it is no longer possible to register or to book accommodation through IFOAM EU.

19.11.2007 Only few tickets left for the organic gala dinner and panel discussion

 

The IFOAM EU Group confirmed the programme for the evening event as highlight at the end of the first day of the European Organic Congress on December 4th-5th, 2007. The Brussels’ La Tentation will be the venue of a panel discussion involving the head of cabinet of Commissioner Fischer Boel, the OECD Head of the Policies and Environment Division and NGO representatives who will discuss “The rural world of tomorrow -Future Challenges of Agriculture in a changing environment”.

As there are only few seats left for this event we urge congress participants to secure their ticket soon.

18.10.2007 Call for posters for the European Organic Congress. All participants are invited to contribute with poster exhibitions at the congress. The deadline for registration of posters is 5th of November 2007. For more information and registration of posters, please see Exhibition
 


31.07.2007 Mariann Fischer Boel, Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development to give opening speech on Tuesday 4th December.

The Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural development, Mariann Fisher Boel will open the congress programme with a review of the European Action Plan for Organic Food and Farming.
